Deputy Commander of Islamic Republic Guards Corps, IRGC, Mohammad Hassan Kazemi, in a press conference said how Iran was the victim of terrorists hijacking and taking Iranian civil airliners to other countries five times between 1983 and early 1984. The criminal acts led to an order by late founder of Iran\\\'s Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khoemeini, putting IRGC in charge of security of all domestic and international flights in the through a written order in December 22, 1988.
Commander Kazemi, stated that since the creation of the task force 130 total attempts have been neutralized.
