This, once again, raises questions regarding Turkey’s relations with the ISIL terrorist group and the Kurdish question which Turkey simply cannot avoid. Known as a conduit for allowing terrorists and weapons into Syria, Turkey has now stressed the need to halt the flow of foreign militants through its border into Syria. What then of the ‘moderate militants’ being trained by the US on Turkish soil? And does this mean that Turkey is now going to move past its goal of regime change in Syria and actually combat ISIL?
